The Brussels Economic Forum is the flagship annual economic event of the EC.

Now in its 19th year, the BEF is the place to be if you want to be at the heart of stimulating debates and share new perspectives on Europe’s economic challenges with influential speakers and participants. The Brussels Economic Forum attracts around a thousand participants every year and is widely covered in the media. It also provides an opportunity to network with top European and international policymakers, opinion leaders, academics, and leaders from civil society and business.

The 2019 Edition

The European elections this year will allow EU citizens to make choices about the Europe they want to build in the future.

The BEF will debate key challenges for the European economy, such as the role of the European Union in the new global order, how to build more inclusive societies in which the benefits of digitalisation and globalisation reach everyone, and how the future growth model for Europe can reconcile economic growth and prosperity with social cohesion, fairness and sustainability.

The topic of this edition will be Choosing a new economic agenda for Europe and we will discuss:

A new global order: inward or outward looking?
A new social contract for Europe?
A new kind of growth for Europe?
